This set is walnut and maple. The dominoes are walnut with a hard maple face for contrast. The box is solid walnut with maple accents. This box was created using double box joints on the sides and double thru dovetails on the front and back this combination of joints gives a unique beauty and interest to the box. The lid was created from a solid walnut base. The Celtic knot was created from hard maple and inlayed into the walnut.
